Bio

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned my Master's Degree in Counseling at Northeastern State University. I have worked with various ages and struggles such as anxiety, depression, social skills, trauma, relationship issues and much more. I not only have experience with counseling services but I also have previous experience conducting psychological evaluations for juvenile delinquents.

I currently work with children as young as 8, teenagers, adults and couples. I am LGBTQ+ friendly and strive to provide a safe space for all. I conduct sessions from a Humanistic approach with the belief that people implement change through self-awareness and growth. For couples/marriage counseling, I incorporate Gottman theories and am growing that knowledge through their training programs.

During my time, I have learned everyone has a story to be told and sometimes it just takes that one person to listen and guide you towards healing. Although I may challenge you at times, I believe it takes personal work to look deep within ourselves to discover our trauma, triggers, patterns and how we can break the cycle and improve our lives.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family, friends and my sweet dog. I love to dance, read, do puzzles, travel and enjoy living my best life.

Fun fact: Counseling is a career I chose to pursue after 16 years as an engineer in the oil and gas industry. I continue to use my problem solving skills as well as my out of box thinking in therapy sessions. And remember, we all change and grow and may need to wear a different "hat" later in life.
