  • Since starting in the counseling field in 2015 I have worked as an intern, case manager, LPC-C, LPC, and now a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and have had the opportunity to work with a number of diverse clientele.

Much of my initial experience has been with adults with chronic severe mental health issues in an intensive outpatient setting with day services, group, and individual sessions. I have also had significant experience working with clients ages 6 and older in individual outpatient settings. During this time I have worked in inpatient hospital settings, serving the unhoused population through shelter work, and worked in a variety of outpatient care settings. I have worked in private practice, schools, and community mental health settings. I am supportive of the LGBTQ+ community. I am always looking to expand my knowledge and ability to help and support clients who meet with me in all of the stressors that life presents them. I work with clients from a number of different therapeutic theories based on each unique situation and operate from a bio-psycho-social-spiritual methodology of treatment to ensure that we cover all areas of life that connect to our mental health.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time in the garden and attempting to grow anything I can get my hands on and encouraging others to do the same. I also enjoy reading, cooking, and engaging in the local community.

  • I have had the privilege of working with children and families my entire adult life, first as an educator, and now as a therapist. I believe that children are precious gifts who sometimes struggle with emotional problems, behavioral problems, trauma, or difficulties that parents and guardians don’t always know how to handle. This is where therapy, specifically play therapy and family therapy, can be especially helpful. Children often do not understand their own feelings or how to manage big feelings or difficult situations. They do not have the vocabulary to express what their feelings and problems are. For these reasons play therapy can be especially beneficial for this young population. I find joy in coming alongside children, their caregivers, and families to help children learn how to express and cope with their big feelings as well as how parents and guardians can help support their children in this process. Being a parent is hard. Being a kid is hard. We all struggle at times. But, if you discover that you need some guidance in helping your child identify their feelings and learn how to get their needs met in a healthy way, I am happy to help.

I earned my B.S. in education in 2010, and my masters degree in clinical mental health counseling in 2019. I since have completed my candidacy and my play therapy training and supervision. I specialize in working with children and families utilizing play therapy techniques as well as other modalities depending upon each child’s and family’s needs. Whether your child’s problems seem big or small, I would love to partner you, your child, and your family so that your child may reach their highest potential.

  • As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I am privileged to be working with a wide array of clients. My biggest passion is helping pre-marital and married couples create a strong intimacy and desire for one another in their relationships, as well as assisting families navigate their struggles to build a better cohesion with one another. My background in case management with adolescents and adults has afforded me the experience to help families deal with those challenges. I also have a special place in my heart for helping families with children who have autism, due to working with these wonderful human beings for the past three and a half years.

Additionally, my service in the Marines gives me a first-hand understanding of the various challenges veterans face. Working with veterans is also another demographic of people that I feel especially equipped to help them with managing their struggles in life.

  • I am an LPC and I graduated with honors from Northeastern State University in 2022 with my Master’s of Science in Counseling.

Navigating past traumatic experiences while rising to meet the demands of life often leaves us emotionally depleted, anxious, and going through the motions in “survival mode.” The most important lesson I have learned on my own healing journey is that healing does not begin from any place other than within. Learning to slow down and choose me in a world that constantly rushes us from one thing to the next has been instrumental in allowing me to create a life that is intentional, authentic, and fulfilling. I am passionate about helping my clients obtain the tools and awareness they need to reclaim control and create the life they want to live.

I primarily work with clients experiencing anxiety, trauma, and general life stressors. I also enjoy helping clients navigate life transitions, spiritual deconstruction/reconstruction, self-esteem, and boundaries. I practice from a person-centered, acceptance and commitment, and strengths-based theoretical foundation. Other modalities include Mindfulness, IFS (Internal Family Systems), as well as a holistic and Polyvagal informed lens to promote mind-body connection.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two cats. I love a good brunch with close friends, reading, playing pickleball (poorly), and travelling every chance I get.

  • I am an LPC and graduated with high honors in 2022 with a master’s in licensed professional counseling with a concentration in marriage and family therapy.

I truly love working as a therapist and meeting people from all walks of life and hearing their stories. My main goal is to meet you where you are to discover the most helpful way forward and customize the counseling process for each person I work with. Starting counseling is typically not an easy decision and it is important to me for people to feel like we are a good fit so they are fully comfortable being authentic and open with whatever they are going through.

I typically help people who are dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, life changes, finding direction, trouble setting boundaries or navigating conflict by addressing thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I like working with adults, teens, and neurospicy individuals to help them learn how to trust themselves and empower them to be confident in their decisions.

In my non-work life I enjoy reading, watching anime, creative/artistic activities, going on walks or runs with friends, and trying out new restaurants or going on adventures with my husband.

  • I am an LMFT with a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Auburn University.

Life and relationships can be challenging to say the least. Sometimes it can feel like our mind, body, and relationships are working against us, like we are out of control. Whether you have experienced trauma, struggle with anxiety or depression, or are experiencing difficulties in your relationships, I believe you have the ability to create the change you are looking for through empathy, insight, and action.

As a systems-oriented therapist, I account for the biological, psychological, and social aspects of well-being, and how each aspect relates to the world around you. I have experience working with couples experiencing infidelity, relationship distress, and major life transitions. I also enjoy helping individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, and trauma. No matter your specific circumstances, you deserve the opportunity to receive the help you are looking for with unconditional positive regard. Initiating therapy can be difficult, and it can also serve as the most important step on the path towards your overall health goals. I look forward to the opportunity to work alongside you.

Outside of therapy I enjoy all things outdoors. A few of my many hobbies include rock climbing, mountain biking, walking/hiking with my wife and two dogs, and camping with friends.

  • I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Oklahoma and a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science from Rogers State University. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and incorporate this along with other trauma-informed, attachment-based, and nervous system-focused approaches in my work.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade as a social worker in the foster care system. That experience shaped my deep understanding of the importance of connection, the impact of early attachment, and how our nervous system adapts to protect us when we’ve experienced pain or loss.

Many of the clients I work with feel emotionally drained, stuck in patterns of self-sacrifice, or uncertain about who they are beyond their roles. They may struggle with setting boundaries, quieting their inner critic, or feeling “enough.” I help clients gently explore these patterns, understand the nervous system’s role in emotional responses, and begin to reconnect with a more grounded and compassionate sense of self.

I believe in meeting you exactly where you are—with warmth, curiosity, and without judgment. Whether you're a teen, young adult, or navigating a major life transition, I offer a space where you can feel safe, seen, and supported. Therapy isn’t about fixing what’s broken—it’s about healing, gaining insight, and creating new ways of relating to yourself and the world around you.

LCSW

  • I have been providing counseling services since 2008 and hold a Master of Social Work from the University of Oklahoma. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals, couples, and families across a wide range of life stages, and currently work with clients from 14 years of age to late life. My experience includes working in inpatient, residential, and private practice settings. I work with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, anger, trauma, grief, relationship distress, spiritually related issues, and more.

My counseling approach is rooted in compassion and a deep respect for each person’s story. I believe that people often come to therapy having already tried hard to overcome their challenges. I see my role as offering the additional support, perspective, and guidance that can help them to continue to move forward. I work to address not only the symptoms that cause people to seek help, but also the deeper questions of life, meaning, purpose, and worth that often lie beneath, helping people rebuild the foundations of their life and who they are. Structured methods of getting unmet needs met, breaking unhelpful patterns in thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and crafting practical solutions are incorporated into my processes. I believe healing involves not only finding relief from pain and solving problems, but also recovering a sense of purpose, identity, hope, and worth.

My work integrates cognitive behavioral, narrative, existential and other therapies, and I offer these within a Christian framework when desired by my clients.

Outside of the counseling office, I enjoy reading, studying philosophy and religion, running, spending time outdoors, playing games, watching movies, and being with friends and family.

  • I am a clinical psychologist who grew up in the Oklahoma City area and am honored to provide evidence-based mental health care to adolescents and adults across the state of Oklahoma via tele-services (i.e., video sessions). I attended Kansas State University, where I played women’s college basketball while earning my bachelor’s degree in psychology. A fun fact about me is that I was a part of the 2008 Big 12 championship team. I went on to coach for 4 years at KSU before attending graduate school at the University of Tulsa. I earned my doctorate degree in clinical psychology in 2019. In addition to seeing private practice clients, I work for the Veterans Affairs Hospital where I provide mental health treatment to our military Veterans.

I am trained in cognitive behavioral therapies to address concerns related to anxiety, depression, sleep, trauma, and adjustment related disorders. I am a nationally certified provider of two evidence-based therapies for post-traumatic stress disorder: cognitive processing therapy and prolonged exposure. Additionally, I have combined my personal history in competitive athletics and specialty training in sports psychology to be able to provide therapy for athletes who are wanting assistance with improving their athletic performance and overcoming obstacles that are impeding their goals (e.g., problems with confidence, focus, anxiety management, or injury).

  • I am a licensed professional counselor and registered play therapist. I work out of Inola Elementary School, primarily with children ages 4-11 and their families. My practice usually consists of cognitive behavioral therapy and EMDR through a play therapy format. Play is a child’s primary language, allowing a low-pressure, natural environment for children to process emotions and overcome challenges. I often see dramatic changes by incorporating this therapeutic approach for many presenting problems, such as anxiety, anger, grief, trauma, adjustment, ADHD, and more.

I have been working in the mental health field since 2011. I received my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Liberty University. I have since been working with children in rural schools. • Life is full of challenges—grief, parenting stress, relationship struggles, or the lasting effects of trauma. Reaching out for support isn’t always easy, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. Whatever brought you to this point, I want you to know: you’re welcome here, just as you are.

I bring a strong background in business, leadership, and process improvement, all of which have deepened my work as a therapist. This experience helps me create an inclusive, structured, and compassionate space where clients feel seen, valued, and empowered to grow. I work with teens, adults, couples, and families to address a variety of concerns, including mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, attachment wounds, and women’s issues. I also support couples in improving communication and resolving conflict with more understanding and connection.

My approach is trauma-informed and client-centered, grounded in the belief that healing is possible when we are able to reconnect with our authentic selves. Too often, our wounded parts—formed by pain, loss, or unmet needs—get in the way of how we connect with ourselves and others. Therapy can help shift those patterns, allowing you to build trust, express emotion, solve problems more effectively, and move toward healing.

I’m passionate about serving the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and their families, I am fully affirming and inclusive in my practice. It’s important to me that everyone feels safe and supported in therapy.

I’ve received specialized training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also love to bring creativity into the therapy process, adapting my approach to match each client’s unique strengths, needs, and goals.

Therapy is a collaboration—and I consider it an honor to walk alongside you, your partner, or your family. Whether you’re working through trauma, exploring identity, or navigating a difficult life transition, we’ll move at your pace, together.

I have worked with various ages and struggles such as anxiety, depression, social skills, trauma, relationship issues and much more. I not only have experience with counseling services but I also have previous experience conducting psychological evaluations for juvenile delinquents.

I currently work with children as young as 8, teenagers, adults and couples. I am LGBTQ+ friendly and strive to provide a safe space for all. I conduct sessions from a Humanistic approach with the belief that people implement change through self-awareness and growth. For couples/marriage counseling, I incorporate Gottman theories and am growing that knowledge through their training programs.

During my time, I have learned everyone has a story to be told and sometimes it just takes that one person to listen and guide you towards healing. Although I may challenge you at times, I believe it takes personal work to look deep within ourselves to discover our trauma, triggers, patterns and how we can break the cycle and improve our lives.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family, friends and my sweet dog. I love to dance, read, do puzzles, travel and enjoy living my best life.

Fun fact: Counseling is a career I chose to pursue after 16 years as an engineer in the oil and gas industry. I continue to use my problem solving skills as well as my out of box thinking in therapy sessions. And remember, we all change and grow and may need to wear a different "hat" later in life.

  • I’m a licensed mental health counselor and counseling supervisor dedicated to helping individuals live more meaningful, connected, and authentic lives. With a foundation in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) and Existential Therapy, I support clients as they navigate emotional challenges, life transitions, identity exploration, and the search for personal purpose. My approach blends structure with depth, offering practical tools for emotional regulation while also holding space for the big questions — Who am I? Why am I here? What matters most to me?

As an INFJ and a Libra, I bring warmth, insight, and balance to my work. I believe that healing begins in safe, affirming relationships, and I’m especially committed to serving LGBTQ+ clients and those navigating marginalization, spiritual transitions, or existential distress. I aim to meet every person with deep respect, cultural humility, and genuine curiosity.

Outside of session, I’m a passionate student of psychology, theology, and social justice — areas that continually deepen my understanding of the human experience. I also find joy in reading (favorites include The Little Prince, When Nietzsche Wept, and Man’s Search for Meaning), nurturing my 100+ houseplants, and traveling to places that feed the soul — Puerto Vallarta and the PNW being one of the most memorable. I love to laugh, and I often bring a gentle sense of humor into the therapeutic space where it’s welcomed.

Whether you’re looking for support in coping with overwhelming emotions, navigating identity or relationships, or simply exploring what it means to live a full and intentional life — I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion, clarity, and presence.

  • We all experience hurt, loss, and disappointment, and sometimes the idea of health and connection feels out of reach. As a counselor, I work to create a space where you feel heard, valued, and equipped to grow toward greater health, even as you face the messiness of life.

I believe our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs are all connected, so I work with the whole person. I enjoy working with children, adults, couples, and families, including clients facing parenting challenges. I hold a master’s degree in Counseling with an emphasis in Play Therapy from John Brown University, and I would be honored to walk alongside you during this season of your life.

LPC-C

  • Hello. I am a recent graduate (December 2024) from Northeastern State University starting my journey as a Licensed Professional Counselor- Candidate. I am also a wife, mother of 2 boys (one of whom has a genetic disorder), and life-long learner. I enjoy interfaith and intercultural events and find joy in building new relationships wherever life takes me.

It’s not surprising to anyone that relationships are challenging. They are the source of our greatest joys and heartaches. They can also be an avenue for healing. My goal as a counselor is to create therapeutic relationships where individuals and couples feel validated, valued, and heard, and then help them to heal and improve their other relationships. It is important for me to offer a space where my clients can feel safe to say what they need to say, without fear of judgement or rejection. It is an honor to be allowed into the vulnerable parts of a person's life, and I respect the work it takes to get there. I hope to help those I work with to increase their capacity to find peace and healing in their relationships with themselves and with others.

  • Michael McClendon, PsyD is a clinical psychologist who has been practicing in Tulsa for 13+ years. For more than a decade he worked with the students at the University of Tulsa as a member of the counseling center staff on campus. As a generalist Michael has focused his practice on working with clients to help them move away from mindsets fixated on the fantasy of perfectionism in order to live into a reality of grace, acceptance, and appreciation or ourselves as we are rather than who we believe we "should" be.

Operations Coordinator

  • After graduating from the University of Oklahoma in 2019 I spent four years as a case manager helping advocate for fellow Tulsans. I mostly worked with adults that had complex physical and mental health needs, histories of trauma, and co-occurring substance use disorders. I loved being able to make a difference in my community and am glad I continue to do so with Chris King Counseling Services. My role as the operations coordinator at CKCS looks a little bit different than my time as a case manager. While I no longer have a hand in direct client care I help get our clients connected to one of our dedicated therapists. In addition to linking our clients to quality care, I make sure things run smoothly for both clients and staff. Helping has always been in my nature!

In my free time you’ll often find me with my nose in a book, gardening, or spending time with my husband Sean and our giant baby of a dog named Rook.
