Bio
I am a licensed professional counselor and registered play therapist. I work out of Inola Elementary School, primarily with children ages 4-11 and their families. My practice usually consists of cognitive behavioral therapy and EMDR through a play therapy format. Play is a child’s primary language, allowing a low-pressure, natural environment for children to process emotions and overcome challenges. I often see dramatic changes by incorporating this therapeutic approach for many presenting problems, such as anxiety, anger, grief, trauma, adjustment, ADHD, and more.
I have been working in the mental health field since 2011. I received my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Liberty University. I have since been working with children in rural schools. In addition to providing therapy, I also enjoy making therapy books and games to assist children on their journey towards healing. I currently have over 70 resources available.
In my spare time, I also enjoy traveling and gardening. I find great enjoyment in crafting and creating new things. In addition, I help my husband administer two other businesses, which include home building, remodeling, and property management.
